During the retreat, we live in privately owned villas on the island of Antipaxos but a stone’s throw away is also Voutoumi beach, one of Europe’s 10 most beautiful beaches. We walk daily a short cozy distance to Villa Skinari where we have morning yoga, meditate, have our group meetings, and hang out at breakfast and dinner together to a magical view.
Antipaxos is a place where sustainability and a balanced way of life can take place. There is not a single deal here. We have rainwater in the well and the food is prepared with love, a large part of the crops come from Makis and Fredrik’s own farms.
The course is located in the early mornings and late afternoons – all the time in between is up to you to manage – all so that you can enjoy this special island but also spend the time you need.
You share a double room with one of the others in the exclusive small group of a maximum of 10 participants.
We will make 2 excursions during the week:
The Bay – a half-day excursion with Fredrika & Makis who guides us on a short hike to the other side of the island and enjoys a packed lunch. Here you can lose your breath – it is strikingly beautiful and if we are lucky we can have the beach all to ourselves!
Boat around the Island – a fantastic full-day excursion where a typical Greek boat will take us out for swimming and adventure around Paxos which is the nearest “city”. Among labyrinthine alleys and flower-clad houses, we stop for lunch and some shopping.
Antipaxos has about 30 residents during the summer and is a beautiful secluded island from all the noise of everyday life. An incredibly healing and empowering place. Here you can come back to the “roots”, to the simple and stripped – and be embraced by nature.
A time to just be.
